Sofia Svanteson
Sofia is an award winning Swedish designer and innovator who has been called a ”super hot potato” by the business magazine Dagens Industri. When Sofia and her class from KTH, the Royal institute of Technology visited Tokyo in 1999, she was ”hit” with an insight. – The future was spelled ”mobile services and content”. When she came home, she founded the company Ocean Observations.
Today, the Ocean has worked with companies such as Vodafone, Nokia, Skype, Huawei, Sony Ericsson and more recently, the Japanese mega-operator KDDI.
Their focus is on “connected consumer products”. They re-design cell phones to improve ease-of-use but it’s about a lot more, for example kitchen equipment and making gadgets easier to understand.
“Innovation is impossible to control”
