General Manager – Head of Industry Collaboration and Asset Management. Joakim leads the team that uses the Open Innovation model to explore, navigate and execute technology innovation into products. His main focus is to scout and manage differentiating external technology to be a part of the Sony Ericsson overall technology and portfolio roadmaps. Based in Sweden, his team is global with locations in China, US, UK and Japan. Previously Joakim headed Technology Strategy for the CTO function, and prior to that had roles leading Business Strategy, and Strategic Product Management during which time he was involved in creating such industry standards as WAP and GPRS. Before joining Sony Ericsson as the joint venture was established, he was EVP at Anoto a Swedish “digital pen” company. His career history has included Senior Management roles at ETM, Ericsson and Telia during more than 20 years in the telecom industry.
