Workshops and more

In addition to the plenary sessions, Innovation in Mind will also offer a wide selection of workshops, open forums, round table discussions etc. on innovation related topics. Here are a few examples – many more will follow shortly.

MOVE: Beyond great ideas                                                                                       Organized by PIEp, the Product Innovation Engineering program (www.piep.se).

Creating innovations that successfully meet societal challenges on a grand scale involves great vision, great ideas and great execution. While coming up with a wide range of ideas is undoubtedly critical to innovation, many individuals, teams and organizations are lacking insight into how to practically move forward beyond great ideas and into execution mode without losing touch with the long-term vision. This workshop will introduce participants to the MOVE framework – a set of practical workshop approaches and methods that allow teams to identify innovation opportunities within a broader vision, while still making practical progress towards bringing vision to reality. The framework is designed to help you plan and perform effective internal workshops to address the innovation capabilities within your team or company. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the MOVE Workshop Facilitation Handbook.

MINT: Measuring innovation capability in teams                                          Organized by PIEp, the Product Innovation Engineering program (www.piep.se).

The ability to assess and measure the progress and impact of your innovation efforts is key to competitive advantage. This workshop provides participants with a framework that will guide managers and teams in establishing an innovation measurement program. The focus is on the assessment of innovation capability at team level in relation to the processes which take place before actual product or service development projects are decided; when new business models, technological opportunities and intellectual property rights are created and investigated. The MINT framework focuses on four areas: innovation elicitation, selection, impact, and ways of working.

Everyday Explorations                                                                                                           The workshop will be led by Anders Weberg, artist and curator  www.weberg.se/ Robert Willim, Associate professor of Ethnology and artist  www.robertwillim.com/

The participants of this practical workshop will use their camera phones to unveil the hidden potential of the mundane. Together we will analyze and utilize the potential of our everyday surroundings using ethnographic and creative perspectives. We will estrange and surrealize the familiar to gain a new outlook and to spur ideas about innovation.

On-line medicine: how mobile solutions will change healthcare            Organized by Olof Jarlman

The global mobile health (m-health) market is estimated to more than 23 billion US$ 2017 according to a report from PWC 2011. This rapid development of new mobile technology and services will change healthcare in all aspects. Advanced and automated information management and communication will increase patient satisfaction and generate new vendors and healthcare providers.

Special Innovation Roundtable on “Unframing Breakthrough Innovation”                                                                                  Organized by Sigvald Harryson
