Innovation in Mind – You Are Invited!

On 15–17 September 2009, in the European Union “Year of Innovation and Creativity”, we at Lund University, Region Skåne and our partners will arrange one of the year’s most important international conferences – INNOVATION IN MIND – and you are invited. By taking new approaches to innovation, we aim at illustrating important innovation issues in a global perspective, at creating interchanges among different areas of knowledge, and at contributing to a better innovation climate. The point of departure is that all innovation begins in human consciousness. INNOVATION IN MIND.

Some of the areas that will come in for special attention are
User Driven Innovation — How can users’ experiences be effectively implemented in new products and services?
Open Innovation — Is the R&D Department an antiquated concept? How do companies gain access to the right competence at the right point in the innovation process?
Social and Financial Innovation — How can we secure the financial resources necessary for innovation, and how can we bring about necessary innovations when we lack the financial resources?

We have invited a number of the world’s outstanding innovators and experts on innovation from various areas — research, business, culture and the political arena. We will participate in a number of exciting tales, theories, predictions and actions, lines of thought that meet and ideas that are born. And just as important as what happens on the stage and in the rostrum are the spontaneous meetings, conversations and exchanges of ideas that will come up when so many people with common interests and innovation in mind gather in truly exciting surroundings.
